We stayed at the Hotel Portmeirion which is situated in a stunning location overlooking the Dwyryd Estuary. With its art deco feel and beautiful furnishings, it offers a perfect base for exploring other areas of Snowdonia. Take a look at the website www.portmeirion-village.com or telephone 01766 770000.
Although Portmeirion is around 140 miles away from Huddersfield, it is a relatively easy journey using the M60 and M56 to Chester, the A55 North Wales coast road and then across the Snowdonia National Park via Betwys-Coed and Blaenau Ffestiniog.
For further information on Snowdonia take a look at these three websites www.visitsnowdonia.info, www.attractionsofsnowdonia.com and www.tpnw.org
