AN unusual pistol which was seized by police from a Huddersfield house is to be retained in an archive to help with future investigations, a court heard.

The gun was one of several weapons found when police raided the home where drug dealer Dino Otis Liburd was living.

The .410 calibre side-by-side hammer-shot pistol with shortened barrels was discovered along with a .455 Colt pistol, five rounds of ammunition, a working stun gun and a stash of drugs when officers executed a search at a property in Corby Street, Birkby, in October 2010.

David Brown today confirmed that up to 75 jobs could be axed at its Lockwood premises from its 450-strong workforce.

They faced an agonising crawl to work in the morning commute yesterday after an evening crash delayed completion of M62 road works until after rush hour.

Commuters were delayed for up to three hours on the M62 because of massive congestion between junction 25 Brighouse and junction 26 Chain Bar.

4. Spy cam man who filmed his stepdaughter to face crown court on 19 charges

A MAN accused of using a spy pen to film his stepdaughter faces crown court trial.

The 46-year-old appeared before Kirklees magistrates sitting in Huddersfield yesterday.

He faces 19 charges of making indecent images of children, recording another doing a private act for sexual gratification and possession of indecent images.

5. Chaos after crash on Lindley Moor Road

TRAFFIC was held up after two cars crashed at Lindley Moor Road.

Police were called at 4.43pm after a woman in her 60s called to say she was trapped in one of the cars and was unable to get out.
