The fun will start on Friday and go right over the weekend to include Bank Holiday Monday and Tuesday.

Just 10 years ago The Queen celebrated her Golden Jubilee – the year that sadly saw the deaths of the Queen Mother and the Queen’s sister Princess Margaret – and the pages in this edition of All Our Yesterdays shows that patriotism in Huddersfield was thriving.

The Queen was crowned on June 2, 1952 following the death of her father, George VI on February 6, 1952. Since then the Royals have come more and more into the spotlight with last year’s wedding between Prince William and Kate Middleton.

And Huddersfield had its own Royal family in 2002 with the Haigh-Rosser family in Denby Dale who organised a garden party with everyone dressed up as a member of the Royal Family and even ‘Lord Lichfield’ was there to captured the moment for the family album.
