More than 250 sporty pupils at Scissett Middle School raised £2,000 in a sponsored relay marathon and the money was used to buy five new computers and three printers for the school. Around 500 youngsters pitched their tents at Whitley Beaumont near Lepton for a weekend of celebrations to mark the 25th anniversary of Huddersfield South East District Scouts.
