Ten-year-old Lee Elvidge was the overall winner of Huddersfield Gym Club's second recreational floor and vault championships which were held for girls not taking part in the West Yorkshire age group championship. Winners included Leanne Taylor, Amanda Randall, Sarah Summers, Julie Ellis, Birdis McLean, Thea McDonald, Karen Fearne, Sarah Robertshaw. Leanne Riley and Caroline McLean were among the emdals in the West Yorkshire Under 18 Championships.
