Pupils at Meltham CE Junior and Infant School put on a Nativity play for parents and friends this week in 1990. Younger pupils staged the play Teddy's Christmas.

Pupils from Gilthwaites First School, Denby Dale were invited to visit the Examiner's Aspley press hall this week in 1990, and nearly 70 accepted. Their tour was guiding by the Examiner's public relations executive Paul Clark.

Pupils of Mount School, Edgerton raised ýý1,500 this week in 1990 for the Anthony Ray Appeal and presented the cheque to Roger Ray (right), Anthony's father. Anthony died of meningitis and his father set up the appeal to raise cash for a special heart monitoring machine.
