Flood forces library closure

HUDDERSFIELD Library has had to close because of flooding.

The library’s basement was flooded by a leaking hose.

The hose was providing the water supply for the outdoor ice rink in the Piazza.

Kirklees Council has confirmed that the rink will not be affected.

The library will be shut for at least three days.

Users can return books to other Kirklees Council libraries.
