Top prize for clothes

A COMPANY headed by a Huddersfield-born man has landed a top prize for producing clothes and bedding made from naturally coloured cotton.

John Conneely, who was born in Fartown and attended All Saints’ High School at Bradley, was presented with the award for new product of the year at the Confederation of British Industry’s 2007 Awards in London.

Mr Conneely, managing director of Natural Colour Cotton, based at Milton Keynes, received the award from Audi boss Iain Carmichael and Gerry Ford, of Caffe Nero, at a glittering presentation hosted by impressionist Rory Bremner.
