Deals going ahead

YORKSHIRE’S mergers and acquisitions market is likely to remain robust in 2008, it was said today.

A study by accountants and business advisers PKF and research service mergermarket showed that M&A activity in the UK was proving resilient to the credit crunch.

It said the market was quickly recovering from the US shock waves felt in the third quarter of 2007 and was likely to “tick along nicely’’ in 2008.
