Huddersfield Law Society dinner

MORE than 200 guests attended the annual dinner of Huddersfield Law Society.

President Neil Murphy welcomed guests to the event at Bertie’s Banqueting Suite in Elland.

The principal speakers were David Bryon, former managing director of low-cost airline bmibaby, and criminal advocate solicitor Judith Naylor, who was a lawyer in Huddersfield for many years.

Before joining the airline, Mr Bryon spent 10 years at Liverpool University, where he gained a doctorate.

He also worked on various projects in the early days of the internet.

In addition, he has hosted a talk show on American cable TV and has written a regular newspaper column.

Other guests at the dinner included Fiona Tatton, regional manager for the Law Society, and Eileen Marchant, chairman of the board of Huddersfield magistrates.
