New store to open in Brighouse

HUDDERSFIELD-based fashion retailer Bonmarché is to open a store in Brighouse.

The company, which has its headquarters in Grange Moor, will open the doors of its new King Street store on Thursday, April 11. The new store will create 10 jobs.

In West Yorkshire, Bonmarché already has stores at New Street in Huddersfield and at Heckmondwike, Halifax, Leeds, Bradford and Pontefract. It also has outlets in Barnsley, Hull, Wakefield, York and Meadowhall at Sheffield.

The retailer, founded in 1982, focuses on affordable quality women’s wear for the over-45s. It operates from more than 370 stores across the UK with more than 4,000 staff and some 4.85m customers.

It is a subsidiary of the Cardiff-based Peacock Group, which includes the Peacocks retail chain with branches at the Piazza in Huddersfield and King Street, Brighouse.
