A COMPANY which has supplied traditional heating products for more than 20 years is at the forefront of cleaner, greener fuels.

Able Clean Energy began by selling logs from a small tree surgery business in Huddersfield before developing to include recycled peat logs and coke reclaimed from water treatment plants.

The company, which employs 15 people at three locations, is now developing skills and product ranges in the field of renewable fuels, such as biomass, solar energy, geothermal and wind power.

Able Clean Energy’s diverse range of products range from a box of matches to many kinds of fuel, from high tech stoves or cookers to chimney products – all with free advice and help.

The firm’s main centre of operations is at Fartown, where it offers weekly fuel deliveries to all districts in a 20-mile radius as well as a cash and carry service.

It also has a depot at Hebden Bridge, which offers a wide range of pre-packed solid fuels for cash and carry six days a week. The firm also has the Pot Belly Stove Shop at Lockwood, offering stoves, range cookers and fireplaces.

The company can guide customers through the whole process of installing new energy systems – from initial consultation and planning consent to installation and maintenance.
