ACCOUNTANTS are inviting local people to join them for a carol service at Huddersfield parish church.

The annual event is organised by the Huddersfield Society of Chartered Accountants .

The service, led by the vicar of Huddersfield, the Rev Catherine Ogle, gets under way at 1pm on Friday, December 15.

The event will feature Sellers International Band and Honley Male Voice Choir.

Society president Tim Sugden, managing director of Sellers Engineers at Chapel Hill, said: "I am delighted that both these well-known and very popular organisations are able to be with us.

"Their contribution will add so much to the success of the carol service."

The service will include carols, brass band and choir performances and readings.

Mr Sugden said: "Entry is free, but I would recommend early arrival as the carol service always packs the pews at the parish church."
