GLEN Whitaker has been appointed bar manager at the new 1871 Bar & Lounge at the Marriott Leeds.
Mr Whitaker (pictured) was previously bar manager at Revolution in Huddersfield. He has also managed bars Newcastle and Aberdeen and was formerly general manager at the Stonehaven Hotel in Aberdeenshire and operations manager at the Britannia Hotel, Aberdeen.
Mr Whitaker is also a collector of rare and interesting vodka and has about 100 bottles at his Holmfirth home.
