There are always a few surprises at the Examiner Business Awards.

And the biggest accolade of tomorrow’s awards night will be a very pleasant surprise for one person in the room!

The Business Person of the Year Award, sponsored by law firm Chadwick Lawrence – which has sponsored the Examiner Business Awards since their inception – is the highlight of the evening and will be presented to honour someone who has made an outstanding contribution to the local business community.

Managing partner Jeremy Garside will make the presentation to the winner, who will join a select band of men and women who have not only achieved success in their respective businesses, but contributed to the success of the local economy and the lives of people in a variety of ways.

Previous recipients Ken Davy, David Armitage, David and Luisa Scacchetti, Prof Bob Cryan, Dean Hoyle, Jonathan Thornton and Nick Brown are all on the roll of honour.
