NEW tenants are being sought for prestigious offices at a landmark Huddersfield location.

The Huddersfield office of chartered surveyors Eddisons is seeking occupiers for offices which form part of the town’s historic railway station in St George’s Square.

Jonathan O’Connor, of Eddisons, said: “Office space in a landmark building like this rarely comes to market.

“It should appeal to a range of commercial or professional services businesses looking for accommodation in a key location.

“It is in the heart of the town – and with the station on your doorstep the daily commute could not get any easier.”

The office space at Station Buildings has become available following the relocation of Huddersfield-based breakdown recovery company Britannia Rescue – owned by Liverpool Victoria – to Folly Hall Mills earlier this year. Britannia Rescue had occupied Station Buildings since 1990.

The railway premises comprise part of the ground and first floor offices in the main railway station building. Access is available at ground floor level by way of two staircases.

There is also a lift providing disabled access.

Each floor of the property, which has a total area of 6,685 sq ft, is equipped with general and private offices, toilet and canteen.

The premises are held by way of an FRI lease until January, 2015, with a passing rent of £53,000 a year. They are available through assignment or sub-lease for either a single floor or the whole area.
