A WINDOW company in Huddersfield has completed the mammoth task of installing windows to 113 homes in Fartown in just three months!

The project was completed by Lockwood Windows on behalf of Sadeh Lok Housing, a social enterprise providing high quality, well-managed, energy-efficient and affordable homes for single people, couples, families, elderly or disabled persons.

Undertaking the installations in such a short space of time tested the organisational and logistics skills of the Lockwood team – and required a very strict schedule to meet the deadline.

“We had 113 houses, 1,000 individual windows, four fitters and just 65 days,” said owner Richard Pogson.

“This is probably the biggest job we have had to do in such a short space of time – and I’m proud to say that we came in on time and on budget!”

Noel Keighley, maintenance officer for Sadeh Lok, said: “Lockwood Windows is on our approved list of contractors, so when this project came about we asked them to put in a tender.

“We subsequently chose them as the quality assessment we did showed that they were the best for the job.

“We were more than happy with the work they completed – and so were the residents, which is the most important factor.”

Lockwood Windows, based at Perseverance Mills, Lockwood, has been manufacturing for 13 years and has more than 20 years experience in the UPVC window and conservatory industry.

To reinforce the fact that the company works to industry standards, Lockwood Windows has also undergone a stringent process with the independent Master Window and Conservatory Installers’ Association to gain its Top 100 industry award
