CONSUMER confidence shows tentative signs of improving, according to a survey.

CONSUMER confidence shows tentative signs of improving, according to a survey.

The latest Consumer Tracker from business advisory form Deloitte said fewer people were pessimistic about job security and the ability to manage personal debt – but more people were downbeat about their household’s disposable income.

It said consumers had reduced their focus on money-saving tactics, but saw no evidence that consumers are returning to more free spending habits.
