A bridalwear shop in Huddersfield has won its second award in less than 12 months.
Lynette Blythe, of Elenor Rose Bridal at Westbourne Road, Marsh, won the award for best retail shop in the I Do Wedding Awards for Yorkshire after being nominated by one of her customers.
The award rated her shop on customer service, value for money and efficiency.
Lynette – who only set up the business two years ago – was unable to attend the awards ceremony at Sheffield City hall, but got a phone call after the event to tell her she had won.
Elenor Rose, which also provides prom dresses and evening wear, triumphed over some bigger bridalwear shops in Leeds, Sheffield, Barnsley and Doncaster.
Said Lynette: “It was quite a surprise because there are some major retailers in the sector.”
The award follows Lynette’s success last autumn in winning the prize for customer service at the North of England Wedding Awards run by The Wedding Guide.
Lynette started the business from home before moving into premises at Wakefield Road, Waterloo, before switching to larger premises at Marsh.
She named the business after daughter Elenor Rose, who tragically died just four days old.
