It’s one of the biggest and brightest business events of the year.
The 2016 Examiner Business Awards, supported by law firm Chadwick Lawrence as executive sponsor, aim to recognise the unsung heroes of the local business community – the organisations and individuals who contribute in great measure to the regional economy by their efforts in areas such as innovation, creativity, community involvement and overseas trade.
Taking part gives companies and individuals the chance to shout about their achievements and underline this area’s status as a hotbed for enterprise.
Whatever your claim to fame, now’s the chance to tell us all about it.
You could be among the finalists – and perhaps the winners – receiving recognition at the awards evening to be held on Thursday, November 3, at the John Smith’s Stadium in Huddersfield.
Nominations are invited in the following categories: Kirklees Business Hub New Business of the Year; SME of the Year; Business of the Year; Community Award; Employee of the Year; HSBC International Business of the Year; The Media Centre Creative Impact Award; University of Huddersfield Innovation and Enterprise Award; Kirklees Stadium Development Ltd Employer of the Year; and the Kirklees College Young Business Person of the Year.
The most prestigious accolade to be presented will be the Chadwick Lawrence Business Person of the Year – an award recognising the long-standing achievements of a member of the local business community.
Last year’s winner of the title was Richard Butterfield, who was recognised for transforming a small firm offering a management service for changing signs on commercial buildings into Principal Global, a multi-million pound brand implementation specialist with headquarters at Waterloo and offices worldwide.
Category winners in 2015 were Cummins Turbo Technologies; Sally Willis, of Fantastic Media; Reliance Precision; Control F1; Amy Wray, of Applegate Properties; Elder Studio Ltd; Briton Engineering Developments; Abzorb; Progress Packaging and Pivot Care.
The awards, which are free to enter, celebrate dynamic, engaging, inspirational businesses from across the area. There’s a category to suit any business sector, size, shape or model! You can also enter as many categories that you feel relevant to your business.
