A Huddersfield IT company has joined a charity’s “Fight Club”.

Fusion IT, based at Edgerton, is backing local charity the Laura Crane Youth Cancer Trust, which has launched Fight Club for its corporate supporters.

As a founding member of Fight Club, Fusion IT firm has planned a schedule of events to support the charity.

Managing director Jamie Watson said: “The team are really excited to be working with the Laura Crane Youth Cancer Trust. It is a charity close to our hearts and we are looking forward to making a difference to some of the young people affected by cancer.”

A PUBLIC relations and marketing agency has added to its national and international client list with two new contract wins.

Brighouse-based Faith PR has been chosen by the UK division of global appliance manufacturer Vorwerk to deliver the nationwide launch of its new Kobold VK200 vacuum cleaner at the end of this month.

And the eight-strong team has been briefed by Leeds-based nationwide floral craft supplier Country Baskets to deliver a comprehensive blogger outreach campaign that will increase awareness of the brand and drive online traffic to the company’s e-commerce website.

Working for Midlands-based Vorwerk UK, Faith PR will deliver a comprehensive media relations and PR campaign to raise awareness of the company’s new product.

Faith PR’s brief from Country Baskets will see the agency work with some of the UK’s most influential parenting, lifestyle and crafting bloggers to deliver a schedule of outreach campaigns through online PR and creative competitions designed to increase traffic to the company’s e-commerce site and widen its social media reach.

Logisitcs firm Hoyer has entered into a long-term agreement with BP to provide bulk fuel transport and logistics services throughout the UK.

As part of the contract, Hoyer will take on responsibility for order-taking, stock management, scheduling, despatch, physical execution and reconciliation of all retail fuels in the UK as well as aviation fuels in Northern Ireland.

Mark Binns, chairman of Huddersfield-based Hoyer Petrolog UK, said: “We are delighted to confirm this new contract involving more than 400 staff and drivers and 120 vehicles. The agreement is a significant step in HOYER achieving its strategic growth objectives for both the UK and across Europe.
