A DESIGN company has seen its work go up in lights in New York – without the team having to leave its Holmfirth offices.
Directors at point2partnership were commissioned to create a new corporate identity for an international healthcare company run by Huddersfield-born businessman Chris O’Toole.
The company, Nine-TZ Healthcare Ventures, specialises in projects for the pharmaceutical and healthcare markets. It has offices in New Jersey, USA, and Manchester as well as associates in London and New York.
As a result of the link-up, Nine-TZ’s new logo was emblazoned across the New York headquarters of the Nasdaq financial building.
Michael McGowan, creative director at point2partnership, said: “Due to their transatlantic business, Nine-TZ became a sponsor of the Equities Magazine Annual Transatlantic Conference, which was held at the Nasdaq in New York, then at the London Stock Exchange.
“As sponsors, their logo was shown on the giant screens on Broadway facing Time Square – which is pretty impressive, even if we do say so ourselves!”
Mr O’Toole and Manchester-based business partner Dr Kevin Bilard were equally impressed.
Said Mr O’Toole: “We have dealt with point2 since we started and we’re delighted with their work – as are our clients in the US and UK.
“Point2’s work is based on a thorough grasp of the business issues that underpin the design and editorial needs, so we find it a good fit with our own business.”
Point2 has completed a range of contracts for clients including Thongsbridge-based CCTV systems specialist Vetatech, Herbert Brown Jewellers and Lightwater Valley theme park and shopping village.
It has also carried out projects for retail display equipment firm Unibox and Teachers for the 21st Century – a project back by Yorkshire universities to encourage more people from minority groups to undertake teacher training.
Mr O’Toole has more than 25 years experience in international pharmaceuticals with major names including SmithKline and Fisons.
He also worked with a New York-based healthcare investment group, licensing and investing in new products and technologies.
Nine-TZ provides advice to clients in the pharmaceutical sector on issues such as forming and managing companies, product development and pursuing investment opportunities.
