ALMOST 10,000 Huddersfield Town supporters have saved money on their holiday bookings thanks to the football club’s partnership with travel company Thomas Cook.
Now the landmark is set to be smashed during the 2011-12 season.
Since the launch of the partnership in 2006, Thomas Cook has offered Town fans discounts on holidays through the Terriers Holiday Club.
And the continuation of that deal means that discount will still be available for any Huddersfield Town fan looking to a bit of sun!
By booking a break through the Terriers Holiday Club, Town fans are not only receiving a discount for themselves – they are also helping the club, as an amount of money is donated to Huddersfield Town every time a Town fan takes advantage of the deal.
Just over 9,600 Town fans have used this arrangement in the past five years. Now the total is set to reach five figures with the deal being renewed for a further season.
Town fans can take advantage of the Terriers Holiday Club when they visit their local Thomas Cook or Going Places shops. There are outlets in Huddersfield, Slaithwaite, Holmfirth, Brighouse, Cleckheaton, Dewsbury and Halifax.
A special offer is also running until August 31 to celebrate the renewal – with those booking their holiday through the ‘Terriers Travel Club’ before that date eligible for a prize draw to win £500 towards the cost.
Huddersfield Town business development manager Mark Davies said: The Terriers Holiday Club has proven a fantastic initiative between Huddersfield Town and Thomas Cook since its inception in 2006.
“It has provided Town fans with a way to save them money, but also give back to the club they love and support. We are delighted that they have decided to continue to support the club throughout the 2011-12 season and look forward to rewarding Huddersfield Town fans for their fantastic continued support!”
