FIVE young business people from Nepal are visiting Huddersfield and Mirfield during a five-week stay in Yorkshire.

They are staying with Rotary Club members in Huddersfield, Mirfield, Bingley, Sowerby Bridge and Harrogate, who have organised a programme of events for their guests.

The visit is being paid for by Rotary International.

The scheme aims to give young business and professional people a chance to improve their vocational skills and learn about other countries and cultures.

The five visitors are Pushkar Man Shakya, of the Rotary Club of Pathan, a businessman dealing in Nepalese handicrafts; Lila Baniya, manager of sustainable tourism development in Nepal; Lunar Shrestha, an electrical engineer; Mahesh Bajracharya, a bank employee; and Susil Pokharel who works in radio broadcasting.
