A CLECKHEATON company has sealed a slot as one of the finalists in the Huddersfield Business Awards.

Novus Sealing is a major supplier and manufacturer of sealing products for use on valves and other components used in a range of industries, including petrochemicals, oil and gas, power generation, mining, aerospace, water treatment, paper processing and general engineering.

The independent company was part of the Dutch-based Royal Econosto Group until it was bought by its management team at the end of 2003.

Since then, it has won acclaim across the world for the quality of its products, which are used in some of the harshest environments across the globe.

The company has opened new facilities in China, South Africa and Thailand to serve the Far Eastern oil, petrochemical, pharmaceutical and energy industries.

Said the company: “Our ethos is to provide honesty, reliability and a high level of service and dependability through all aspects of our business, adding value to our products and ensuring we sustain a competitive edge.

“Novus Sealing continues to invest in quality systems and while our products are traditional in function, our outlook is progressive and evolving.”

The Hunsworth Lane company invests heavily in research and development.

Managing director Mark Neal said: “We are obviously very pleased and proud of our achievements. Everyone in the company plays their part in its success and has backed the management in some significant overseas investment programmes.

“We have also established friendships and a great rapport with our colleagues worldwide, making the Novus brand and its philosophy the envy of our competitors.”
