ONE of Huddersfield’s oldest properties has been given a new lease of life with the expansion of a town centre dental practice.
Dentist Marcos White has extended his existing business, The Courtyard Dental Practice, into a neighbouring grade II listed cottage in Wormald’s Yard, off King Street, to provide a private clinic. The three-storey cottage is one of the town’s oldest buildings, dating from the early 1800s.
Following a facelift, the whole practice is now a blast of pink blended with leather and oak in natural hues – with nurses and receptionists resplendent in black shirts and brilliant pink silk ties.
Mr White, who has been a qualified dentist, said the aim had been to create one of the best dental practices outside London.
He said: “I have spent my career caring for my patient’s teeth while using my creativity to improve their confidence in their smiles.
“Taking this to a new dimension, I have begun to work closely with one of London’s leading Harley Street cosmetic practitioners.”
Mr White is now qualified to use semi-permanent products to create a smoother, more youthful look for his patients, using dermal fillers and botox. The clinic also has computer software to show clients how they will look following treatment to improve their appearance.
