Big names from the world of logistics have signed up for a supply chain competition run by a Huddersfield-based company.
SCALA, which has its headquarters at the Media Centre in Northumberland Street, has started registrations for the Fresh Connection 2014, an interactive web-based business simulation competition which aims to help high-profile brands to train staff and refine supply chain management processes.
The annual competition has proved highly popular in previous years.
Kimberley-Clark, the winner of last year’s contest, will defend its title against competitors including Unilever, Continental Tyres, BorgWarner, Waitrose and Norbert-Dentressangle.
Participants in previous years have also included Mars, Coca-Cola, Dell, DHL, HJ Heinz, Jordan’s & Ryvita, Tesco, Marks & Spencer, Unipart, Birds Eye, Specsavers and Mondelez-Kraft.
