HUDDERSFIELD-based TaxAssist Accountants has expanded its team with the appointment of Kelly Fitzgerald – thanks to a successful partnership with Huddersfield University.
Ms Fitzgerald, 22, who graduated this year, has been appointed full-time as a trainee accountant following a 12-month placement.
TaxAssist Accountants in Lockwood has been taking on placement students from the university’s accountancy and finance degree course since 2009.
Thanks to the successful partnership with the university, TaxAssist Accountants has also welcomed Daniel Walker, who will shadow the team for a year.
As part of the partnership, TaxAssist Accountants in Huddersfield also sponsors the award for best student on placement, which is presented at the university’s graduation ceremony.
