A Huddersfield businessman has been recognised by Dragon’s Den star Theo Paphitis.

Andrew Robinson, managing director of leaflet distribution firm Mr Flyer, was among a handful of business people to attend the annual award ceremony after the firm won Theo’s Small Business Sunday award in December.

The #SBS Twitter award recognises innovative and successful small businesses across the UK. Every week, SMEs tweet Theo with their “sales pitch” – with Theo retweeting his 500,000 followers.

The award win has given Mr Flyer the chance to join a prestigious community of SMEs across the UK and provided him with the rare opportunity to meet and talk with the influential entrepreneur.

Mr Flyer, based at Lockwood, has experienced continuous success since starting up in 2011.

Andrew said: “The #SBS Award was an amazing award win for Mr Flyer. We had a great time at the event liaising with other businesses and meeting Theo Paphitis and we are delighted with the opportunities it has given us. We are really grateful to receive this recognition of our hard work.”
