THE boss of advertising giant WPP Sir Martin Sorrell revealed accelerating UK growth – and said he does not expect the eurozone debt crisis to drag the world economy into a double-dip recession.

The world’s largest ad agency reported a “significant improvement” in UK revenues – rising by 8.9% in the third quarter of 2011 against a 6.6% in the previous three months.

WPP, which is seen as a bellwether for the global economy, said like-for-like global revenues rose by 4.7% in its third quarter as companies invested in marketing their brands.
