Examiner Charity Challenge gets venues boost

“I believe this year’s event will be another success,’’ he said.

“There was a real feelgood atmosphere at the meeting with a lot of people enthusiastic about the Charity Challenge.

“We also had a very good speaker in Jo Naylor, from the Huddersfield Pregnancy Crisis Centre, who explained how much it means to local charities like hers.

“We have come up with the new venues for some of the events in the hope that a change of scenery may well attract newcomers.

“We know we have a hardcore of supporters who always turn up and always enjoy the Charity Challenge but it would be good to attract a lot of new people to take part.

“We have done all the hard work with organising and checking the various routes for the walkers, the horse-riders and the cyclists and now we want people to sign up to take part.”

Over the years, the Charity Challenge has raised tens of thousands of pounds for local and national charities.

Every year, many hundreds take part in the walks and rides.
