Welcome to the 2011 awards
Once again it's time to salute the many stars of our community- the people who make Huddersfield such a great place to live.
The Examiner Community Awards is your chance to highlight and honour thosen who put so much into life and those who have achieved amazing things against the odds. And we know there are always many, may worthy candidates in Huddersfield. We all know a neighbour, friend or a relative who has gone that extra mile, or who has given more than their share to the community. They deserve your nomination so why not take a few minutes to send us the information about your hero or heroine and we'll give them a night to remember in June.
PLUS by nominating some of these stars you could be raising the public profile of their charity of organisations. So please don't delay and nominate today!

Examiner Community Awards - Judging
Judging for the Examiner Community Awards has now taken place.
The Examiner would like to thank everyone who took the time to submit an entry form and tell us about the amazing people and groups at work in Huddersfield.
With so many worthy entries, the Judges had a very difficult task selecting 3 nominees in each category.
Everybody who submitted an entry will be contacted by letter to inform them if they have been short-listed.
The nominees stories will feature in the Examiner from Wednesday 23rd May-Friday 3rd June.
Winners will be announced at the Awards ceremony, hosted by ITV's Nina Hossain, at the Galpharm Stadium on Monday 6th June.
