Yorkshire award for Adrian Sudbury

The sporting award went to Hull City Manager Phil Brown who got the team promoted to the Premier League.

The Woman Of The Year was author Jilly Cooper.

Huddersfield cyclist Ed Clancy – who won gold in the 400m team pursuit at the Olympics – won a special Yorkshire Gold Medal. All the gold medal winners from Yorkshire received this medal and its full title is the Yorkshire Gold Medal Award (The Yorkshire Olympiads).
