Join Adrian’s Army in the Greenhead Park charity walk
FRIENDS and supporters of campaigning Examiner journalist Adrian Sudbury will be raising money in his name at a sponsored walk tomorrow.
A ‘balloon walk’ will be held in Huddersfield’s Greenhead Park in memory of Adrian, 27, who died in August after a two-year fight against leukaemia.
Adrian became well known to Examiner readers and people all over the world thanks to his online diary, Baldy’s Blog, and his Sign Up For Sudders campaign to raise awareness of bone marrow donation.
The walk will be held in aid of the Examiner’s Sign Up For Sudders community account.
This is a fund which is split between Leukaemia Research and the Anthony Nolan Trust which runs one of the UK’s two bone marrow donor registers.
Walkers will gather at Greenhead Park cafe at 10.30am, ready for an 11am start.
