£2,500 donated by readers paid out to leukaemia charities

The account will stay open for donations in 2009 and any funds will continue to be split equally between Leukaemia Research and the Anthony Nolan Trust.
To donate, you can walk into any Barclays branch in Kirklees and pay in cash over the counter. Alternatively, you can send a cheque payable to Sign Up For Sudders to Huddersfield Examiner, Queen Street South, HD1 3DU.
Adrian detailed the last months of his life and of his campaign in his award-winning Baldy’s Blog, on the Examiner website.
it proved a huge hit across the UK and indeed the world.
Many of his notes were put together in Baldy’s Book and copies are still available, with proceeds going to the charities.
To date some 1,240 books have been sold.
