Unlike the Labour/Lib Dem proposal, the Conservative plan from January proposed keeping Castle Hall open, providing single sex education in Batley and creating a new high school in Birkenshaw.
Clr Dodds said: "The Labour/Lib Dem proposal discards the Birkenshaw school, closes the Mirfield school, increases pupil numbers up to 1,500 in some schools and ignores the desire for single sex education in Batley.
"Our revised proposals demonstrated quite clearly that we had listened to concerns that were raised during the consultation which was the whole point of the exercise."
"We are now back to the drawing board and are once again faced with further consultation in some parts of Kirklees."
The Labour/Lib Dem coalition cabinet announced their proposals for schools in north Kirklees on March 4. Consultation on the plans will run from April 20 to June 5. Cabinet will make a final decision on the plan in July.
A separate proposal is expected later this year for schools in Huddersfield, Colne Valley, Holme Valley and Denby Dale.
