WHEN Oliver Harrop wore his pyjamas to school for a fundraiser he could never imagine he’d end up on TV.
But tonight, Oliver, aged six and-three-quarters, will be the star of The One Show with Chris Evans and Alex Jones.
It all started when all the children at Kirkroyds Infant School, New Mill, wore their pyjamas to school last Friday.
That morning Oliver rang Chris Evans’ BBC Radio 2 breakfast show as part of the ‘things you’re doing for the first time’ section.
Oliver challenged the DJ and TV presenter to wear pyjamas to work – and today Chris Evans has promised to do just that.
Oliver’s mum Anne, explained: “Oliver was going into school in his pyjamas for the first time that day for the school fundraiser, which would help the school buy some new books for the library and maths equipment.
“Oliver talked to Chris about what he would be doing and then on Monday he was invited to go back on the radio show and to mark his day at school in his pyjamas out of 10.
“Oliver became part of the show. He talked to Chris for four minutes and talked about all his different pyjamas.
“He even mentioned Jordan Rhodes and Huddersfield Town. He is a massive fan and wanted to tell the sports reporter he met Jordan Rhodes a few weeks ago.
“He then challenged Chris Evans to wear his pyjamas to work.
