Councils play fair

PLAY facilities at the Burnlee recreation ground in Holmfirth are set for a facelift.

The out-dated playround was installed in 1993 making it the second oldest in the Holme Valley South ward, but now it is set to benefit from a £35,000 overhaul thanks to joint funding from Kirklees and Holme Valley parish councillors. The work will provide new play equipment for youngsters up to 12-years-old and a teen shelter, safety surface and goalposts are planned.
