Safe and sound with the experts

YOUNGSTERS at Cumberworth First School have welcomed a host of visitors during the school’s safety week.

With a different theme to each day, safety week included a range of presentations and workshops for all the children and included road safety, water safety, personal safety, fire prevention, drug awareness and sun safety.

The expert advice came from the RNLI, NSPCC, Skelmanthorpe Fire Brigade, and other local groups.

Jennifer Eason, a spokesman from the school, said: “The children had lots of fun and have learned a lot.”
