Villagers call foul on dogs

EXTRA signs and free ‘poo bags’ will be used to combat dog fouling problems in the Holme Valley.

Residents of Brockholes had complained the recreation ground was being blighted by dog mess but a councillors’ bid to attach free poo bags to the dog fouling signs was blocked by Kirklees Council.

Free bags are now available from some shops and councillors have appealed for people to report irresponsible dog owners to the Kirklees dog wardens on 01484 226883
