Trophies in safe hands

DENBY DALE Parish Council chairman Clr Graham Turner handed out the awards to the winners of the council’s road safety committee annual poster competition at Skelmanthorpe Council Offices.

Pictured with Clr Turner are (from left) up to seven years old section competition winner Lewis Shaw, runner-up Millie Yates and third placed Adam Bedford, all of Cumberworth First School.

The eight to 10-year-old group winner was Neve Ryan, of Skelmanthorpe First School, runner-up was Martha Jepson, of Cumberworth First school with Olivia Verity of Skelmanthorpe First and Nursery School in third place.
