Thief raids bedroom as woman sleeps

BURGLARYLeymoor Road, Golcar, March 16, 4.45pm. Second floor window smashed and thief reached in to unlock it and get in. He entered the bedroom where the victim was sleeping and stole a handbag and contents. Coombe Road, Milnsbridge. March 9 10am. Padlock forced from outside store to get in and steal fishing equipment. Leymoor Road, Golcar. March 11, 10pm. Lead stolen from house porch. Taylor Valves Ltd, Dowker Street, Milnsbridge. March 11, 10pm. Thieves arrived in a vehicle and got into the rear of the premises by using boxes to scale a high wall. They then forced a door to get into the works and stole a large amount of copper piping from the walls. The vehicle used was a – yellow Transit (reg: N827JHG). Stoney Lane, Longwood. March 13, 2pm. Got into house via a rear door to cellar causing no damage. It is believed a key may have been used. Laptop computers, a wallet and cash were stolen. Parkwood Road, Golcar. March 15, 5pm. Rear kitchen window forced. Intruder climbed in and searched all the rooms. It is not known if anything was stolen. Leymoor Road, Golcar. March 15 5pm. Attempt made to prise open a rear window of the house with a jemmy causing damage, but no entry was gained. Colne Valley Garden Centre, Scar Lane, Milnsbridge. March 15, 5pm. Windows smashed to get in. Cash and keys stolen. Manchester Road, Linthwaite. March 18, 7pm. Thief forced entry through the rear door and escaped with two laptop computers and a x-box games console. Gillroyd Lane, Linthwaite. March 11, 3.30am. Timber framed french doors forced open. Thief got in and out using key, closing and locking the doors. Key, cheque book and mobile phone stolen.

CRIMINAL DAMAGEWest End Road, Golcar, March 13, 10.30am. Large stone thrown smashing double glazed house window. Beech County Junior & Infant School, Golcar. March 14, 6pm. Offenders climbed onto a roof damaging roof slates. Leymoor Road, Golcar. March 14 1.53pm. Vehicle window smashed and thief reached in to steal a cheque and cash. Open House Designs Ltd, Manchester Road, Linthwaite. Elmfield Avenue, Milnsbridge. March 16 2.15pm. Window smashed with stone. Glastonbury Drive, Golcar. March 16, 9am. Outside side external door damaged. Coach and Horses pub, Manchester Road, Slaithwaite. March 16, 3am. After fracas at pub, four suspects returned and one smashed a pub window and a car window.

THEFTManchester Road, Milnsbridge. March 16 11.15am. Fitted copper pipe stolen from external wall of house. Manchester Road, Milnsbridge. March 7, 12noon. Copper gas piping stolen from side of house. Luck Lane, Paddock. March 17, 3.20pm. Victim threatened and robbed of mobile phone.
