Lots of fun tales from life of an auctioneer

MEMBERS of Denby Dale District Collector’s Society held their April meeting at Clayton West Methodist Church.

Paul Dixon, auctioneer and valuer, was the invited guest. He gave an interesting and amusing talk about his many years as an auctioneer, quoting several funny incidents. Afterwards he valued items brought in by society members.

These included pictures, glassware, pottery, musical boxes, vases, dolls, plates and bottles.

Mr Dixon was thanked by chairman Mr David Jessop. A buffet supper was provided by Mrs Floss Appleby and other women members.
