The good life at 90

SOME say good food is the key to a longer life and former village news correspondent Enid Schofield certainly thinks so.

Enid, a regular at Volare restuarant in Skelmanthorpe, celebrated her landmark 90th birthday with her usual meal out, with red wine and a cigarette – enjoyed outside of course.

Enid dines at Volare most Sundays and enjoys a range of dishes from spicy Moroccan lamb tagine to swordfish, but her all time favourite is pork ribs in barbecue sauce.
