Centenary concert for Wooldale treat

HONLEY Ladies’ Choir will be the guest artists at a concert to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Wooldale Old Folks’ Treat.

The anniversary event, on Saturday May 10 at Holmfirth High School, will have a 1940’s theme.

Members of the Honley choir will be attending a ceilidh on Saturday May 17, start 7.30pm) at Newsome Scout Hut.

Emily Reaves has invited the choir and friends and families to support this event to raise funds for her memorial charity concert on Sunday October 12, in aid of Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

This concert will be staged at Huddersfield Town Hall in memory of Denis Bradley. Other guests include Lindley Band and Emily Reaves.

There are two chances to enjoy an end of term School’s Out! Disco at North Light Gallery, Armitage Bridge on Friday and

Saturday, June 6 and 7 at 7.30pm.

The choir is to hold a Concert and Workshop Weekend on Saturday and Sunday July 19 and 20.

The choir meets at 7.30pm on Thursday evenings at St Paul's Church, Armitage Bridge. New members are always welcome – no previous choir experience necessary.
