The event is being organised by Birdsedge Village Hall Committee whose members have been working for several years to secure the hall’s future through proposed renovation plans. District Commissioner, Kevin Johns (right), was given the Silver Acorn award, the second highest honour in Scouting, by County Commissioner, Neil Leatherland at a St George’s Day service at Christ Church, New Mill. The award is given in recognition of specially distinguished service to Scouting. Read
