Tree’s a cool global warmer
BROCKHOLES man ‘Mad’ Mick Madden has built a giant 12 ft palm tree.
The reason? Mick is sure that global warming is on its way, and he wants to be prepared.
He’s waiting for the cold , windy Holme Valley to morph into the sun-soaked boulevards of southern California.
He could be waiting some time, given the weather so far this summer.
Mad Mick is undaunted, and is hoping everyone will get one so the valley’s streets will bear more than a passing resemblance to to Palm Springs, Las Vegas or Beverley Hills.
