HOLMFIRTH

Paul Rand’s theme for Sunday service at the Methodist Church was the message that we should love one another. The fact that God first loved us and has chosen us makes this possible. It could be a challenge to love our MP at the moment. As a church, members have been busy this past week on behalf of Christian Aid, collecting door to door, as well as other events. The final total raised for this very important cause will be announced later. A recent Flower Festival raised £1,564. The Faith book group, due to meet at Holmfirth library on ednesday, has been postponed due to trouble getting hold of books. It is hoped that the group will meet in a fortnight.
