Castle students honing sporting skills

THE Castle Hill After School Multi-skills Club was started in November to give pupils with profound and mulitple learning difficulties at the school a chance to take part in less formal sporting activities.
This was only possible due to grants from Awards for All and the Huddersfield South Area Committee.
The grants cover transport, escorts, nursing staff and support staff for the pupils which on a weekly basis costs in the region of £300.
On the plus side approximately 50 pupils have been able to engage in various sporting activities which supports their physical, mental and social development.
