BURGLARYFearnought Garage, Huddersfield Road, Holmfirth, July 19. Intruders got into property by smashing glass panel in front door activating the alarm. Once inside cigarettes stolen and suspects escape. They made off in vehicle which was seen by police driving erratically up the road. Police tried to stop the vehicle at which point it reversed into the police car causing damage. Vehicle made off at speed before being abandoned in Lockwood. After search using dog and helicopter, two men arrested and cigarettes recovered from the vehicle. Scholes, July 15. Padlock on garden gate forced to get in then bolts cut from shed door. Two racing bikes and a TV stolen. Scholes, July 16. Shed door lock forced to get in and mountain bike stolen. Scholes, July 17. Shed door prised open. Not known if anything stolen. THEFTMarsden, July 19. Suspects approach from behind and grabbed bags from victim pulling them from her grip. They then ran off towards Church Lane,. The victim shouted for help and then gave chase. Suspects discarded all property in nearby bush before making off on foot away from the village centre. Suspects: first male who took bags – white, 15 years of age, 5ft 4in slim build, round face and freckles, pale complexion and longish dark fringe. He was wearing all grey with hooded top. Second suspect - white male, 15 years of age, slim build, 5ft tall. Golcar, July 17. Two secured pedal cycles stolen from rear of home. Thieves returned and stole two insecure pedal cycles, abandoning one down the street and making off with the other. Milnsbridge, July 15. Two large plant pots containing plants stolen from either side of door. Pedal cycle hidden behind wheeled bins under a cycle cover and chained to a wall, stolen. Marsden, July 17.
